GOVERNMENT ministers alerted over a UFO photographed hovering over the Scottish countryside.
Newly released Ministry of Defence files reveal they took the unusual step of informing senior Cabinet figures after an unidentified object was captured on camera in Perthshire.

It would seem that my galactic stowaway, the Storyteller, is having an extended period of peaceful non-interference. It is unlikely that its motives include my welfare, but if I benefit as a side effect then I won’t complain. Its present backseat position may be due in part to my current focus; for I am busy developing (if that is indeed the correct word to use for my allowing of its offspring to escape) the complexities of my current project, Reality Engine.
I wonder, as I arrange the words into a story, how much of what I type is original creation, and how much is the regurgitated memory of some distant, long dead civilisation where someone or something played host to the Storyteller. I don’t suppose it really matters, or that I will ever know.
Sony pictures latest box office disaster movie is based on the 2012 belief that the world will end.
How realistic will it be?
The movie, about an academic researcher who leads a group of people in a fight to counteract the apocalyptic events that were predicted by the ancient Mayan calendar, stars John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, and Danny Glover.
It is the latest offering from German director Roland Emmerich, who has helmed disaster flicks Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow.
They are also supporting the movie with two ‘viral’ websites; the first thisistheend.com has Woody Harrelson’s character, Charlie frost, speaking on a blog style ‘home-built’ site. The second, The institute for human continuity is a very well contructed flash site designed to look like the web presence of a major organisation here to ensure humanity’s survival of a catalismic event.
Hats off to Sony and the film producers, I like it and eagerly await more updates…

Eye-witness video footage has emerged of an apparent ‘UFO’ sighting in Banknock, near Scotland’s flying saucer capital Bonnybridge.

The extraordinary film comes amidst a wave of similar sightings across the UK. Hysteria began when a giant blade was seemingly torn off a wind turbine by a mystery aircraft in Lincolnshire.
A number of people in the area reported seeing hovering white lights near the wind farm, while Ecotricity, who owns the site, said the extent of damage was “unique” and were not ruling anything out in their investigations.
The Ministry of Defence have since said they are not looking into the incidents because they do not pose a threat to national security.
Stratford UFOs bring town to standstill
crowd of 100 stunned stargazers brought a town centre to a standstill when five mysterious UFOs were spotted hovering in the sky.
Drinkers spilled out of pubs, motorists stopped to gawp and camera phones were aimed upwards as the five orbs, in a seeming formation, hovered above Stratford-Upon-Avon for half an hour.
Several residents of a remote English village have reported sightings of a bizarre tentacle-shaped UFO above a local wind farm, on the night before a wind turbine was mysteriously destroyed.
Engineers from energy suppier Ecotricity are investigating why a blade more than 20 meters (66 ft) long fell off the turbine at a wind farm in Conisholme Fen, Lincolnshire, early on Sunday morning. In the meantime, locals are coming to their own conclusions after many of them saw strange flashing tentacle shaped lights above the wind farm on the night before the damage occurred.
John Harrison, a resident of nearby Saltfleetby, said he looked out of his window on Saturday night to see “a massive ball of light,†and “tentacles going right down to the ground†over the site. “It was huge†he said “At first I thought it must have been a hole where the moon was shining through but then I saw the tentacles – it looked just like an octopus.
“It was an incredible site; I have never seen anything like it before. I have no idea what it was, all I can say is what I sawâ€.
However, officials are remaining tight-lipped about the cause of the damage. A spokesman from Ecotricity said, “This has never happened before so we really have no idea what might have gone wrong. We will conduct a thorough inspection of the turbines to see if there is a problem and put it right.â€
There are currently two predominant explanations in Western culture, offered as explanations of our origin. Creation and evolution.
